The idea to create an Electronic Postcard Site came to me in 1994 after Hans-Peter and I had created a Memorial Web Page in memory of our beloved son Daniel.
During this time I enjoyed sending postcards from the Net to the many people that visited our Memorial Page but I was however unable to find good French
postcard sites. Also, of the existing sites that I found I did not always like the pictures or the music available. Consequently, I decided to create one of my own . This is said without any pretention on my part.
As you may have guessed, I love the Internet and the opportunities it provides to meet people from all around the world. But the Internet is not my only passion and I have not allowed it to distract me from several other interests which I am actively persuing. To mention just a few; I have always been and still am a fervent animals protectionist and must admit that it is one of my greatest concerns. I belong to several organizations for the protection of animals and I am very active in this domain. My love for animals naturally includes taking care of "strays" often abandoned or mistreated by their owners; my Poupounette was one of them, thirteen years ago! Over time I have made numerous friends over the Internet who share my passions and convictions. I am also very interested in ornithology as there are so many beautiful birds in Quebec. When time permits, I adore working in my garden, taking care of my Roses, my plants and shrubs, watching my little friends the squirrels, insects, butterflies....I guess one can say that I adore everything about nature and the environment. Unfortunately, in my little corner of this land, one must go a long way to discover nature. The municipality I live in has fewer and fewer green spaces and is becoming more and more polluted and is rapidly loosing its esthetic beauty. When I feel the need to breathe some fresh air, I travel several miles to find a place to go for long walks in the woods with my binoculars and my camera.
I also enjoy reading, painting with Pastel, developing black and white photos, restoring old photographs and... vegetarian cooking.
I was very fortunate to have been able to work in Europe for ten years which allowed me to visit many interesting countries. Today, because of many constraints, my travels take place more frequently in my mind and not by airplane.
Do I have to tell you I am very romantic, I enjoy poems, gallantry, wonderful love stories and sad songs. I am also nostalgic at times of my younger days of Peace and Love. I have a lot of humor and I enjoy being with people who make me laugh. People who know me well appreciate my frankness. I am very observant and the slightest detail never passes unseen by me. Under my "soft waters", lies a strong character which can be very criticizing at times! I despise violence of all kind, pedophilia, hunting, injustices of all sorts; in brief, human imbecility.
I have just added a variety of poems to my Postcards which you may add when sending a card. I am open to any suggestions. If you discover any errors or some links are not working, please feel free to let me know and it will be my pleasure to make the necessary corrections.
Before closing this short personal biography, I would like to thank with all my heart and love my favorite "artist", my dear father who is greatly contributing to the richness of my site by providing me with so many of his wonderful sketches and paintings. I also have to thank my husband, Hanspeter, for his help and encouragement.
